We supplied Law Primary School in North Berwick near Edinburgh with a Whale Bone arch for their new play area.
The school has been recently rebuilt and we were asked to supply the sculptural centre piece for the new play area.
The arch mirrors the arch found at the top of a nearby hill which is just visible in the photo below
Our version is made from Oak and stands 2500mm at the tip, each half is made from two profile cut sections scarf jointed together. We then had a flitch plate manufactured to join them at the tip, allowing connection on site. The legs slot into 400mm deep box section galvanised steel feet.
