Two 7m long, large section, curved oak benches for a new visitor wetlands destination at Calke Abbey, National Trust site, in the heart of Derbyshire. Client came up with a sketch design and we developed it into something we could manufacture, keeping the clean lines and minimal supports. The bench effectively floats just of the ground, attached to a curved steel angle, with a number of gusseted metal angled supports at the rear. The sections are dowel together and fastened under the seat to another curved steel angle.
